January Maths Madness
Primary 4 and 5 have only returned to school after Christmas and have already excelled in their maths! We have covered and learned a lot already. We learned about the concept of area using magnetic squares to help us. We also learned about fractions and used the fraction bar model to help us see what fractions are equivalent to each other. We learned that 1 third is the same as two sixths! We also cut up strips of paper to investigate fractions of amounts. For example if we had a strip of paper that is 16cm, we folded it in half, then half again to make quarters that were 4cm long. This week we have been learning about money and helping Miss Swail with her shopping!
